For those using General Hydroponics nutrients, here’s a detailed nutrient recipe per 5 gallon of water to ensure your plants thrive:
Step 1: Prepare Your Water
Start by collecting 5 gallon of tap water and letting it sit for 24 hours to allow chlorine to evaporate.
Step 2: Add Nutrients
Incorporate the nutrients one by one, waiting 5 minutes between each addition for optimal mixing. Begin with 15 ml of Micro, followed by 20 ml of Grow, then 10 ml of Bloom, and finally 25 ml of Cal-Magic. Follow the exact order from the chart photo we provided above.
Step 3: Adjust pH
After all nutrients are mixed, add 15 ml of pH Up to bring the solution to a pH of 6.0. This step is crucial for ensuring your plants can absorb the nutrients effectively.
To test if the water pH is correct, collect a water sample from the bucket and add 3 drops of the pH tester solution into the test tube. Shake well. If the water turns yellow, this indicates that the pH is at 6.0.
Nutrient Recipe for Optimal Plant Growth
Nutrient Recipe (per 5 gallon of water):
- 15 ml Micro – 3 TSP
- 20 ml Grow – 4 TSP
- 10 ml Bloom- 2 TSP
- 25 ml Cal-Magic 4 TSP
- 15 ml of PH-Down – 3 TSP
